| £27,000 BROUGHT TO j AUSTRALIA I MELBOURNE, June 29. Thirty-six refugees who reached Melbourne to.day in the Marella from Batavia, had among them bank dr&fts amounting to £27,000. There were 32 Jewish refugees from Austria and Germany, and four Czechoslovalrians n.on_Jewish. Nearly all of them travelled Australia first-class. They brough' big trunks packed with clothing an'l valuables. The party included twbrothers who were mill'onaires in Austria before the Nazis took over their factory and sent them to con. centraiion camps for a year They hope to set up a new textile industry. The refugees included technicians, manufacturers, solicitors and other professional men.
