BUCCANEERS TOO GOOD
* The Buccaneers keelhauled City and made them walk the plank wh?n they met on the Domain at 1.30 on Saturday. The old players sl\owed the City team something of open football and resolute low tackling. However, this was to be expected, for after all the Buccaneers have many former representatives in their ranks, and City Is only a club team with a sprinkling of juniors. Fitness might have determined the issue but the Buccaneers lasted well. Wilson and K. -Hollis were good City forwards; Rayrror showed up in the backs. The Buccaneers Steered their lugger to the attack early and Watson was away at 'the head of the boarders. They were repelled however and Danvili was taken aft. F. Hollis speculated t 0 gain ground and ran nicely. Conolly shot through, but he was beaten to the touchdown. There was no further though City made promising movements. Mr W. S. Henderson refereed with as little whistle as possible. His aim was to keep the game moving, and critics should have borfne this in mind.
