Jib sugar, 1 table- ; ppoon Golden Syrup, few drops essence of vanilla, lib flour, 2 1 icapcd teaspoons Edmonds Calie i Powder, 4oz. sultanas, 4oz. cur- i rants, 3oz. mixed peel (shred- I cled), milk (about a cupful). Beat butter and sugar to a j crcnm, sod golden syrup and J essence. Stir in flour and Cake i Powder previously sifted, then j mix all to a nice consistency ! with in ilk. Bake in a moderate j oven 1J to 2 hours. This cake I is improved by keeping a day j or two. (No Baking Powder ; required.) | CAKE POWDER BUNS 2 cups flour, 1 cup sugar, 6oz. dripping or butter, 2 dessert- ' spoons Edmonds Cake Powder, j ■ 1 cup raisins, \ piece peel, a 1 little milk. Mix flour and sugar. F rub in the di-ipping (or butter), j i then add Cake Powder and fruit i and mix to a stiff dough with j the milk. Put in dessertspoon- I . 'Li;s on re'd greased tray and 5 ' bake in lit.; oven for about 10 minute::. 'No Baking Powder lequircd.i KISSES (Esgless) 1 .';lb butier, 2 tablespoons hat 1 water, I cup sugar, 1 cup flour, 3 cup coconut, 1 teaspoon 1 Edmonds Cr.ke Powder. Melt butter with hot water, mix into dry ingredients which have been ; previously mixed together. Roll , into balls, put on tray and flat- ' ' ten a little. Cook 15 minutes in a moderate oven. Put together with butter icing. (No Baking ! ; Powder required.) If you haven't yet tried I Edmonds Cake Powder get a 6d - tin from your grocer to-day.
