GENEROUS GIFT The Principal of the Te Puke District High School has received a donation of two guineas from Mr J. Gra_ liam, of Porigakawa Valley. The money is to be awarded in the Secondary Department for a project work to do with the Centennial Celebrations of New Zealand. It is proposed to award a senior and a junior orize, the work to be a research study of the Maori. It is hopeyd that the generous action of Mr vvill he the forerunner of other 'oilers as the school is now building up to a stage where local interest and encouragement will do .much to develop a healthy spirit of tradition.
