A. Brabant and C. G,. Justices of the Pca.ce, at Whakatane on Tuesday morning to answer charges of drunkenness and the theft of a shirt valued at 4s Gd, the property of Bridgers Ltd., Whakatane. Rose pleaded guilty to both offences, which were committed on July 10. Constable T. J. Cummings, outlining the case < said that the police received a telephone call from Bridgers Ltd stating that the shirt had been stolen from the doorway. Constable Hcdlev arrested Rose near The Rock'. The shirt had been taken from him by a member of Bridgers' staff. Rose was more or less of a vagrant type.
