OHOPE ROAD

Sir^—Of all the ghastly, pot_holed stretches of cow track which anv_ where give access to houses, I think that the road along the shore at Ohope takes some beating. I refer -"%• particularly to the stretch in the di-, % rection, of Otarawairere. I know something of the history of the road, and I know that it is claimed it passes through private property. I also know that there is a Vague chance of a main highway going down there •ne day. In the meantime would it be impossible to put a grader over it, evqn if the county does not feel disposed to spread a littJc metal there? Yours'fet'c. t 'pothole.
