ENJOYABLE PLAY READINGS

Members of the Dramatic Circle of the Lyceum Club met on Monday night when three one-act plays were read and acted the players appeal illy in costume. The first play was "Haste to the Wedding'' by F. Those taking part in this pinywere: Mrs Appleby Malvinia Hathaway Mrs Fletcher-Cole Freda Richmond, Mrs Thomas Dorothy Trcw, Mrs Morice Delia Trcw, Miss F. Sloane Alice Hall, Mrs Warner Sloper The last plav was called "The Oat; Settle." The cast of th : s was: Mrs Boswell Josiah Barton, Miss P. Ngnitai Anne Barton Miss N. Carlyon Frank Chatter j.s. Miss Mullin Elsie Chatteris, Miss M. Dell Joe Svkes. The audience included: Mrs B. S. Barry, Mrs Keir, Mrs E. Haultain, Mrs Mollgaard, Mrs Riddell, Mrs Heard (Opotiki), Mrs Harry Armstrong, Mrs Hooper, Mrs Hayter, Mrs Eggers, Mrs D. Pearse, Mrs Pain (Awakeri), Miss Howell, Miss Greenup. At the conclusion of the reading supper was served by the readers.
