SEASON'S CHAMPIONSHIPS DECIDED The Rangitaiki Rille Club fired the last competitions for Mr McCrackcn's tropthy on Saturday ending the season's championship and Grand Aggregates for the year 1938.39. The conditions of Saturday's shoot were two double ten shot shoots at 300 yards. L. Walker was in form again and put on a brilliant 97. Davics won the trophy with a score of 193. L. Walker 2, 183, W. Moore 187. Scores: 300 yds 300 yds hep tl. L. Walker -18 49 s c r 97 L. Davies 47 48 scr 95 W. Moore 48 4(5 scr 94 J. Walker 45 48 scr 93 Davies and L. Walker shot oft ' or the championship and again tiedAvith' 14 points each. Then shot for shot Davies made a bull and Walker an inner. This gave Davies the championship the conditions of which the eight best indivdiual range scores for the season. The final results were Davies 395, L. Walker 395, J. Walker 391, WMoore 390, L. Mikkelsen 390, R. Bell 387, R. Wilson 383, J. Howat 382 ? C. Penny 381. The season's grand aggregate lor the highest score off the rille for all competitions for the season was won by L. Davies -with 1902, W. Moore 1882 second, J. Walker third with 1820. Davies also won the cup for the highest score for the season including handicap with 1921 jW. MooVq 1910, J. Walker 1888. There will be a practice next Saturday for members who are going to Ivatikati on June sth to attend the Bay of Plenty Rifle Association and the South Taranaki meeting to be held at Wanganui the same day. Davies may go to Wanganui. lie holds the Auckland titles and finished third in the Grand Aggregate of the South Auckland meeting at Matamata. He will be a loss to the club at the Bay meeting. j
