EXPENDITURE OF £76,949 CHAIRMAN RE-ELECTED A total expenditure of £76,949 was detn : led when Mr G. H. Mends, Chairman of tlie Tauranga County Council, presented his report for the year. Receipts total £61,478, comprising ■ates and arrears £20,944. an average if 79 per cent over the county which is slightly lower than last year, and is due to rate notices being delayed on account of revaluation. The capital value of the county has '•Jen increased to £3, 379,922 from the 1928 figures of £2,250,870.
