BADMINTON
THE SEASON OPENS WHAKATANE REPRESENTATIVES Badminton has been proving quite successful in Whakatane and the announcements of teams to play in the Bay of Plenty zone of the B grade championship should further stimulate keenness amongst its devotees.: The first scries of the zone matches arc to be played at Te Pake on Wednesday next and the A team to represent Whakatane is as follows: Men: E. Wilson, I. Woolliams. V. Timbs and H. Ycung. Ladies; Misses Blythe, Jaconibs, Woolliams and Mrs Cato. A B team will also play Awakeri cu the same night and comprises: Men: W. liowat H, Righton, f. Best. M. Bigelow, O. Roulston, M. .Milliner. 1 Ladies: Misses M. Howat, G. Kent, M. N. McKenzie, P. Gara-» way and M. Patterson.
