EXECUTIVE
ANNUAL MEETING
A very great pleasure was provided for Bay of Plenty members of the W.D.F.U. by the visit of the jfo. minion President, Mrs Wickham of Wanganui, at the first annual meeting of the newly formed Bay of Plenty Provincial meeting held a-t Taneatua on Friday 28th. The meeting opened with the reading of the Creed after which. Mrs Haultain, president, welcomed Mrs Wickham and presented a charming bouquet of berries and flowers in autumn toiling;, which had been made by Mrs Hill.
Officers are as follows: Mrs E. C. Haultain (Awakeri) president; Mr:; Martin (Opotiki), Mrs Hill (Tanea. tua) vicc-presidcnts; Mrs L. Grey (Awakeri) secretary; Mrs F. Maunder (Awakeri) housekeeper secretary; Mrs A. Hill (Murupara), Mrs Mit. chell (Taneatua), Mrs Law (Opotiki) and Mrs Jamieson (Te Teko) committee.
After the business had been completed Mrs Wickham addressed the meeting on many matters of interest to members interspersed with humorous anecdotes in connection with her travels over the North and South Islands. At the conclusion of her talk Mrs Wickham wag accorded hearty applause. Mrs Wickham then on behalf of the Taneatua W.D.F.U. pre scnted the Hill Challenge Cud to Mrs T.,. Grey for most points gained at their recent autumn show and the tninintn r c to Mrs J. Peebles last "•'ear's holder. A \vy hanpy meeting | closed with musical honours for the guest from Wanganui.
