MEALS FOR VISITORS

Dear Sir, 1 have not as yet noticed in /Famjliar Unknown* feature the fact that it is -impossible in Whaica. tane on a Sunday to obtain a menl 110111 anj* shop in town. On num.' ei'ous occasions I have been approach, ed by visitors asking for direction to a suitable place where a light meal may be obtained It is unfort. unatc that invariably I have to reply in 'the negative, and I have been assured that this is the only town in the province where visitors are not catered for in this respect. A town such as ours with a growing beach resort at our back door, should be able to supply tourists and citi. Zens for that matter, with a meal during the week-ends. I sincerely trust that some enterprising firm will go into the matter and rectify the position as it applies to_day„ Yours etc. , I PROGRESS.
