BASKETBALL TEAM'S ACTION CONDEMNED The action of an Auckland basketball team in failing to arrive in Tauranga for friendly matches with Tauranga teams, was condemned at the final monthly meeting of the basketball executive on Tuesday evening. The secretary, Mr S. M. Spitz, explained that as a resuit of th( team's non-arrival the association would have to pay compensation for food wasted at a boarding establishment where the players had been booked in. It was decided that, a letter of censure be sent to the team, and that a copy be forwarded to the Auckland Basketball Association.
