Inspection 01' Tauranga Divisions Presentation Of Numerous Awards The annual inspection of the Tauranga Divisions of "the St. JohnAmbulance Association was held by Assistant Commissioner Cobb this week Mr Cobb was accompanied by Mrs Cobb, Ladv District Officer; Mr Nelson, Cadet District Officer; Mr Houston, District Superintendent; Mr Linkman, District- Officer; and Mrs Yarrell, Lady District Cadet Officer. There were over 30 members of Divisions and Cadets on parade, and, considering the weather conditions, a pleasing number of the public was present. Preliminary First Aid certificates were presented to the following cadets: —Beverley Spitz, Joyce Starke, Patricia Starke, Barbara Skilton, Eulalie Fisher, Jill Cole; George Mugridge, Stuart McFarlane, Norman McGibbon, Alexander McDonald, Neville Curry, Alan Gordon, Peter Martin, John Martin, Russell Fairburn. Morvyn Fairburn and-William Clydesdale. First Aid certificates were awarded to Audrey Ferguson, Marie Theresa Hamill and Pamelina Wallen, and a Home Nursing Certificate was received by John Beaumont. Mr Cobb read a letter from Sir James Elliott, the Chancellor of the Priory in New Zealand, which, in recognition of her outstanding service, admitted Mrs R. H. Faulkner to the grade of Serving Sister in The Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem. Mrs Faulkner and Mrs K. Hammend received their twelve-year service medals. Mrs Johnson was awarded two chevrons for six years' service; May King received a medallion, and Home Nursing Certificates were presented to Mrs Grinder, and Miss Hazel Beck, who also received her First Aid Certificate.
