FIRST ROUND OF CHAMPIONSHIP
The first round of the senior and junior championship was played at the . Mount Maunganui Golf Club's Jinks yesterday. The following are the results: —(Senior) Mrs Crichton beat Miss E. Ensor 2 and 1; (junior) Mrs Handley beat Mrs Barber; Mrs Marcroft beat Mrs Wood at the 19th; Mrs Hampton beat Mrs Byrne by default; Mrs Kellett beat Mrs Rcssiter 2 and 1; Mrs Carlton beat Miss B. Ensor 3 and 2; Mrs Bates-beat Mrs Miles 2 and 1; Mrs Kelly beat Mrs Midwinter 8 and 7; Mrs Mills beat Mrs Ogilvic 8 and 6. Next Week's Draw On Wednesday . next an L.G.U. Medal round will be played. The draw is as follows. Silver Division (13th tee): Miss E. Ensor and Mrs Halcombe; Mrs Tallis and Mrs Crichton. Bron/.e Division: Mrs Mills and Mrs Courtcnay; Mrs Marcroft and Mrs Wood; Mrs Rossiter and Miss B. Ensor; Mrs Bates and Mrs Ogilvie.
