RUGBY TRIAL FOR N.Z. TEAM
[GAME AGAINST HOROWHENUA AT LEVIN (P.A.) Wellington, August 17. The New Zealand Rugby team to [play a match against Horowhenua [at Levin on September 1 as a trial jfor the selection of the All Black jtteam to meet the Australians in the [first test at Wellington on September $ was announced tonight. The team I was chosen by the selectors. Messrs N. A. McKenzie (Hawke's Bay), convenor, R. 11. Masters (Canterbury) and H. S. Strang (Southland) It is as follows: Fullback: G. J. T. Moore (Otago). Threequarters: W. G. Argus (Canterbury), J. B. Smith (Northland), J. K, McLean (Auckland). : Five-eighths: R. L. Dobson (Auckland), B, Couch (Wairarapa). Halfback: V. D. Bcvan (Wellington). Back row: D. Carlson (Taranaki). Middle row: A. W. Blake (Wairapapa), R, F. Bryers (King Country), R.White (Poverty Bay), R. C. Stuart (Canterbury). Front row: W. Mummf Buller), A M. Hughes' (Auckland), H. W. Wilson (Otago). The emergencies are: Backs, J. McKenzie (Southland), J. W. Kelly (Auckland: forwards, N. Dalzell Canterbury), W. A. Lunn (Otago).
