TAURANGA POWER BOARD'S ACTIVITIES 100 NEW LINES AWAIT ERECTION During the month 45 new service lines were erected and eleven were increased in efficiency, reported the engineer (Mr J. R. Bongard) to yesterday's meeting of the Tauranga Electric Power Board. About 100 service lines were awaiting erection. To provide a. better service, the transformer capacity was increased at Kowhai Street. Tc Puke, he stated.

A primary line extension with substation and low tension alterations were made at Morton's Road, Katikati, and a new substation was put into service at Manoeka. Work had been started on rural extensions at Katikati, and very good progress was being made, added Mr Bongard.
