Fruit and Produce Merchants WELLINGTON Although supplies increased during the past week there is still a particularly strong demand for tree tomatoes, Meyer lemons and Chinese gooseberries, values in most cases being very satisfactory. Kurneras have been coming to hand in very irregular supplies, values automatically showing either " a sharp rise or fall. Early this 'week values were down to 20/- cwt and a short market Thursday realised up to 45/- cwt. Passionfruit is in keen demand but Feijoas and. persimmons have shown very little improvement. At last week's sales, N.Z. our market but enquiries indicate a keen demand. Values for last week's sales are, passionfruit 1/-, 1/4 doz. Meyer lemons 10/-, 21/-. Tree tomatoes 12/.-, 18/-.
