SEVERAL TTNS OF FOOD ALSO MISSING

(P a ) Aoril 21. When the Presbyterian Church at Taumarunui was visited by its Minister, the Rev. I. Muir. this morning, curtains and old clothing were found strewn about the floor of the vestry and it was subseouently discovered that a donation box in the vestibule had been broken open and rifled of a sum of money.

Also missing were about 12 tins of food which were left over from the Easter Presbyterian camp at Taumarunui and which had been placed in the vestry temporarily. The indications were that the intruders had stayed in the church overnight.
