MOVE BY TAURANGA HOSPITAL BOARD

ERECTION OF BUILDING BY VOLUNTARY LABOUR

A move to provide a recreation hall for the use of nurses and hostiptal staff generally is to be made bv the Tauranga Hospital Board. When the question was raised, at the monthly meeting of the board, by the Matron (Miss E. N. Hollis) the chairman (Mr H. J. stated that a sum could be placed on the estimates for the purchase of materials and endeavours could be made to have the hall erected by voluntary labour. The board appointed a committee, comprising the chairman, secretarv (Mr G. D. Stuart). Matron. Medical Superintendent (Dr F. Sligo) and Messrs L. R. Wilkinson, J. R Evans, the resident engineer (Mr W. Hodder) and Mr F. Beazley, to investigate the question.
