TAURIKO DEFEATS KAIMAI

LAST CRICKET MATCH OF SEASON

Playing the final match of the season on their home ground, the Tauriko cricket team defeated the Kairnai eleven by 19 runs. Kaimai batted first and made 68 runs, Tauriko making 58. In their second innings Kaimai were all out for 11, while Tauriko replied with 40, thus winning the match by 19 runs. The Tauriko team has had a very successful season and are the winners of the Garnman Cup in the Country Association competition. The cup will be presented to Tauri'ko at a dance to be held in the Tauriko Settlers' Hall early in April.
