TOWN PLANNING SCHEME
NEED IN TAURANGA STRESSED
The need for getting on with the Town Planning scheme for Tauranga in order to set aside areas for industries, was stressed by 'the deputy-Mayor (Cr L. D. Lees) at the monthly meeting of the Tauranga borough Council when an application was received for permission to erect accommodation for motor-cars in a residential area. Cr Lees pointed out that a number of similar requests came before the council and care must be exercised in watching the interests of future residents of Tauranga. The council referred the application to its Town Planning Committee.
