JET PROPELLED LOGS
Sir, —A further suggestion to aid Federated Farmers (Auckland Province) in their momentous deliberations, would be to equip the “jet propelled logs” as visualised by “Progress,” with a siren, emitting a doleful “M-o'-o-o” at frequent intervals. This would attract the attention of the straying bulls they are so concerned about who would naturally 'follow these “celestial sisters” to their destination, where no doubt a farmers’ ' co-operatively owned meat works could be erected, and turn a vexed problem into a handsome dividend. —I am. etc., “ONWARD AND UPWARD.”
