TE PUNA SEWING BEE PICNIC FUNCTION AT OTTJMOETAI BEACH A very enjoyable day was spent at the Otumoetai Beach last week when' the Te Puna Sewing Bee held its annual picnic. The month's competition, a print apron, was won by Mrs Heard. CARD PARTY AT TAURIKO (Times Correspondent) There was a good attendance at the last weekly card tournament held in the Tauri'ko Hall, when progressive 500 was played. Mr and Mrs K. Rasmussen were host and hostess. Prizes were won as follows: Mrs D. McGregor. Mr G. A. Merriman and Mr H. Mills equal 1; travelling prizes, Messrs H. Mills and S. J. Hills; consolation nrizes, Messrs D. McGregor, V. Johns and C. Geraghty. ' SHOES CAN TALK Neglected, unpolished shoes are a poor advertisement for the wearer. On the other hand clean, polished shoes that have had their daily dose of "Nugget" not only convey a favourable impression but impart a feeling of confidence and satisfaction. There is no shoe polish made better than "Nugget" and there is certainly no better shoe pol.'sh made. "Nugget" colours include Black, Dark Brown, Military Tan, and Blue
