POWER CUTS IN NORTH
(P.A.) Whangarei, Jan. 21. Power restrictions will be reimposed in the North Auckland Board’s area from next _ Monday. Water heaters must be switched off from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Domestic heaters must not be switched on for more than 11 of the 24 hours each day. The size of heating elements must not be increased without permission from the board.
The power position in Whangarei is to be discussed at a meeting of the Borough Council’s Load Committee on Thursday.
