INCREASE IN COAL OUTPUT

PRODUCTION FROM REEFTON MINES (PA.) Greymouth, Jan. 19. The Reefton district mines produced 713 tons of coal in the first three shifts of the year. This is more than 50 tons in excess of the first three days’ work last year. Consignments of coal from the district are showing signs of a considerable increase, and the extension of open-cast mining is likely to result in record nroduction for the first quarter of this year.
