Miss Elsie Zimmerman To Visit Tauranga
Prominent In Women’s Organisations
Prominent in the work of women's national and international organisations is Miss Elsie Zimmerman, who will be visiting Tauranga towards the end' of the month. Miss Zimmerman has travelled widely and has just completed a tour of Australia. She was for some years, honorary secretary -.of the International Council of Women and more recently secretary and then chairman of the Associated Countrywomen of the world. She was also editor of the Association’s official magazine for a number of years. Miss Zimmerman is being accompanied by Miss Amy Kane of Wellington, who is a vice-president of the Associated Country Women of the World which has recently been granted full consultative status on the Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations Assembly.
