Trade and financial agreements between the United Kingdom and Yugoslavia were signed in London this evening. The first, a short-term trade agreement, provides for an exchange of goods valued at about £15,000,000 during the year ending next September. The United Kingdom will send textiles, raw materials and machinery to Yugoslavia, while. Yugoslavia is to send sugar and foodstuffs to Britain.
In the second agreement the Yugoslav Government agrees to pay £4,500,000 compensation to the United Kingdom for British property taken over in the Yugoslav State.
