COMPLAINT FROM MEETING IN TAURANGA ASH, HICKORY AND NATIVE WOODS USED Following the passing of a resolution, at a recent meeting in Tauranga of the Bay of Plenty Province, Federated Farmers of New Zealand, on the alleged poor qualitv 01 nay fork and other tool handles, information has been received from Wellington that the federation has taken action.
Mr E. J. Vosper, Bay of Plenty Province organiser in Tauranga, has been informed that during 1949, licences for wooden tool handles equivalent to those in 1948 will be granted. These wi'.T include quotas from the U.S.A. and Canada and dealers will thus have the opportunity of importing tool handles in hickory and ash.
