TORNADO STRIKES TRANSVAAL

TELEGRAPH COMMUNICATION CUT London, Dec. 19. A tornado which struck north Transvaal last night, cut telephone and telegraph communications between South Africa and Rhodesia for over 18 hours. A makeshift cable is now being used. The tornado did much damage to prcpertv but no one was killed. It was foTowed by a deluge of ram and hail, which washed away roads and bridges.
