Few Butter Coupons Lost Suggestions that some unscrupulous persons are falsely declaring the loss of butter coupons to secure an extra ration are not borne out by the experience of the rationing authorities, it is reported from Wellington. Handles For Pitch-Forks

"On our farm we have used long shovel handles in the pitch-forks, and they have lasted for many years," said a Te Miro delegate at the monthly meeting of the Cambridge Sub-Province of Federated Farmers. His comment was made in the course of a discussion on the poor quality of the wood in handles for tools. Members agreed the idea was good one, and several said they would use the hickory shovel handles in their forks for the coming hay-making season.
