ITINERARY FOR ALL BLACKS
ARRANGEMENTS FOR TOUR OF SOUTH AFRICA N.Z. UNION AWAITS FURTHERDETAILS (P.A.) Wellington. Nov. 9. The itinerary for the All Blacks’ tour of South Africa next year is expected to be arranged at a meeting of the South African Rugbv Board on November 19. according to advice received at tonight’s meeting of the executive of the New Zealand Rugby Union. The executive decided to defer further action until the result of the South African board’s meeting is known. The South African board's cable said that its London agents had advised that the team would arrive by the Tamaroa about May 13 and depart in the Dominion Monarch about September 23. The draft itinerary proposed that the first match should be on May 31. However. it was not yet known at which port the Tamaroa would first call or the port of departure of the Dominion Monarch. Mr J. H. Parker said his main concern was that the team would have an adequate spell on arrival and that the early gsmes should be easier fixtures.
“Until we get th° itinerary we cannot do anything,” said the chairman, Mr A. St. C, Belcher. It was agreed to play a match at Fremantle if the boat called there en route to South Africa. The secretary. Mr A. E. Neilson, said it was understood that the Tamaroa would call at only one Australian port, this being Melbourne.
