NIGHT ATTACK ON TERRORISTS

R.A.F. BEAUFIGHTERS IN MALAYA CANNON, MACHINE-GUNS AND BOMBS London, Aug. 23. In Malaya, Royal Air Force Beaufighters made their first night attack on the terrorists last night. A communique from Kuala Lampuar says that at dawn R.A.F. Spitfires attacked the guerilla positions with cannon and machine gun fire. Later, Beaufighters were out again and bombed jungle areas. Spitfires followed up the bombing with low level attacks before the ground forces advanced over the area.

Thirty Alsatian dogs trained foxguard duty have now reached Singapore. They were sent out from England by the War Office to help in the campaign against the terrorists.
