BOROUGH RATES INCREASED

MOIfEINSVILUE COUNCIL’S DECISION

(P.A.) Morrinsville, July 1. An increase in borough rates from Is 9d to Is XOd in the pound on the unimproved value was struck at a special meeting of the Morrinsville Borough Council.

The increase was made necessary by the recreation ground improvement loan of £4,000, the catchment board levy, which ' will have to be paid for the first time this year, and also an increase in the hospital rate.
