“Following the heavy rams when it is reported that approximately eight inches of rain fell m xour hours there wos considerable daniage to county roads, stated the engineer to the Tauranga County Council (Mr N. G. Hansen), at the monthly meeting of the council yestßSdome roads, stated the County Engineer, were blocked by slips and others were badly ins roads, however, were cleared in short time and due to previous good maintenance of adequate water tables, the securing was not as bad as it could have been.
