WRIT SERVED ON MAYOR
(P.A.) . Auckland, March 11. A ■ writ for alleged libel was served on the -Mayor of Auckland, Mr J. A. C. Allum. yesterday by Mr D. M. Robinson, president of the Auckland and Suburban Drainage League. The plaintiff claims £5Ol general damages, costs incidental to the action and such other relief as the Court may think just. The' claim arises from the publication on November 18, 1947, of a statement by Mr Allum criticising a circular issued by the league.
