Walker) in acknowledging a letter from the council, said he desired to point out several inaccuracies. I “Matata riding is liable for rates and has paid these during the period when the board collected a rate,” Mr Walker explained. “There is a statement in the letter to the effect that ‘the eastern side is now endeavouring to instal harbour I works on the eastern sids of the i harbour to the permanent prejudice j of the board . . . .’ This, of course, j is quite contrary to fact and I am advising the Minister to'this effect.
