REPORTED OFFER OF £30,000

STATEMENT BY OWNER OF BEAU LE HAVRE

(P.A.) Auckland, today. A Press Association telegram from Wellington yesterday stated that Mr M. James Nash had refused an offer of £30,000 for Beau le Havre, winner of the New Zealand Cup and topweight in the Wellington Cup to be run at Trcntham on Saturday.

When the message was referred to Mr Nash, he stated that no overtures for the sale of Beau le Havre had been made to him since the New Zealand Cup meeting in November. Mr Nash stated that he had then said to a prospective buyer that, Beau le Havre was not fcr sale at any price.
