ATTACK BY COMMUNIST LEADER

Mr Harry Pollitt, secretary of the 46,000-strong British Communist Party, said when interviewed by Italian journalists that Mr Ernest Bevin was “the principal architect of the disastrous British foreign policy.” Mr Pollitt added: “His removal from office should be the first step toward the reorganisation of the Labour Government. So long as he remains the danger of war and misery remains.”
