INFLUENCE IN FRENCH UNIONS London, Nov. 9. At a meeting in Paris today about 200 French followers, representing the anti-Communist minority, spoke against Communist influence in the General Confederation of Labour. A communique issued afterwards said that they ‘ denounced as dangerous the systematic seeking of conditions of power by a certain political party to use the trade union movement as an instrument. The union’s leaders announced their consent to the Marshall programme provided French independence was not threatened.
