BARBARIANS’ CLUB FORMED
FORMER RUGBY FLAYERS' • MEET AT TE PUKE (Times Correspondent) Former Rugby footballers met at Te Puke recently and it w r as decided to form a Barbarians’ Club. The coming match against the Te Puke representative Rugby team on October 4 to help raise funds for the Wally Dixon fund was discussed and it was decided to play 15 men, but emergencies .would be available to replace players as desired. The election of officers resulted as follows: —president, Mr W. E. Flowers; committee, Messrs G. Whiteside, A.- Webber, A. McCauley, R. Whittington, and ,C. Muir; team managers, Messrs J. P. Ryan and H. McCracken.
