PILOTLESS PLANE FLIES ATLANTIC
SKYMASTER'MAKES AIR HISTORY London, Sept. 22. For the first time in history an aircraft has flown the Atlantic without a pilot at the controls. It was an experimental flight by the American Air Force. A Skymaster transport took off from Newfoundland last night and landed in Oxford just over 10 hours later. The aircraft carried 13 men including an emergency crew, but a Washington announcement says that no human hand touched the controls during the flight. The flight was directed by self control mechanism.
