CHURCH LEADER ON COMMUNISM
“MORAL IRRESPONSIBILITY CONDEMNED”
The biggest threat to the world was Communism, with its ruthlessness, distrust and lack of responsibility, said the Rev. W. G. Slade, president of the New Zealand Methodist Conference, in an address at the May Synod social held in the Methodist Schoolroom, Tauranga, last evening. An example of this moral irreponsibility Avas the stranding of the Wanganella in dry dock in Wellington since last February. The Church should not hesitate in condemning this lack of ethical responsibility of the people.
