SOAP SAVING
Collect small bits of soap that are too small to leave in the soap dish —white, green, yellow, it does not matter. Of course, harsh laundry soaps, however, should be kept separate from other varieties. Cut the leftover soap into small pieces on your bread board and place them with a little water in a double boiler until they melt. Pour the liquid into small oblong dishes. An icebox dish or travelling soap dish is excellent to use. Allow the soap to stand and harden. Before it is stiff, loosen the edges from the dish, with a table knife. If the new cake of soap is .a.little soft when removed, let it air a day or two and it will be ready to use.
