STRICT CONTROL OF GERMAN INDUSTRY
MANUFACTURE OF WAR MATERIAL
SEVERE PENALTIES FOR INFRINGEMENT

The Allied Control Council in Berlin has published a law prohibiting Germans from manufacturing, importing or possessing any form of war material. The prohibited list includes material for atomic weapons, poison gases, warships, war transport and aircraft.
Penalties for violation of the new law ranged from fine£ to the death sentence. Germans possessing any stocks c.f the prohibited material will be given 90 days to notify the Allied authorities.
The law allows for certain peacetime requirements such as explosives for demolition work.
.This decree implements the decision of the occupying authorities to prevent the rearming of Germany.
