BISHOP SHOUTED DOWN

London, Dec. 29

A demonstration in a church in Liverpool resulted in the service having to be cut short after the Bishop of Liverpool had been shouted down. The trouble started when the bishop was about to announce the text of his sermon. (About 50 members of the National Union of Protestants began to shout, and after waiting half an hour in the pulpit the bishop returned to his seat in the choir stalls and advised the vicar to bring the service to an end.
