"NO DOIDGER'S" ATTACK
Sir, —i am ashamed of the .Bay of Plenty Times publishing "No Doidger's" letter and he should be ashamed of himself for writing it. Why did he write it? Is he trying to discredit Mr Doidge on the eve of the election? What did Mr Doidge, himself a returned soldier of World War 1., actually say about our men in Greece in World War II.?
Quite frankly I am not quite sure what his exact words were but I am certain that they were not. intended to discredit our men in any way whatsoever but merely to draAV attention to the fact that they were not so well prepared to meet what they came up against as they might have been. Yet "No Doidger", in a most dishonest way, tries to make it appear that Mr Doidge made disparaging remarks about the personnel of the 2nd. N.Z.E.F. and everyone, including "No Doidger," knows that Mr Doidge did not do this.—l am, etc., "15th. BATTERY N.Z.F.A."
