TENNIS CLUB REFORMED DECISION OF MEETING (From Our Correspondent) There was a large and enthusiastic gathering of the public at: a meeting held recently in Rossiter's Dining Rooms, Mount Maunganui called for the purpose of forming a tennis club. The convenor (Mr J. Steevens) explained that there had been a club in operation several years previously but for some reason it had ceased operations. It v/as unanimously resolved tG form a club to be known as the Mount Maunganui Tennis Club. The election of officers resulted as follows : Patrons, Mrs Mellish and Mr L. B. Hart; president, Mr C Woodcraft; vice-presidents, Dr. Barry Irvine and Messrs D. J. Wright and G. Hutton; club captain, Mr J. Steevens; secretary, Miss D. Claris; treasurer Mr E. Brown; committee, Mrs H. Woodcraft and Messrs G. Clarke, K. Dyer, E. Hutton, and H: Woodcraft.
