RHINE RIVER TRAFFIC
CREATION OF GERMAN OFFICE Washington, Oct. 7. France has agreed to the creation of a German office to control Rhine River traffic —the first departure from the French policy of refusing to permit any central German administrative agencies until the settlement of the Ruhr-Rhineland questions. Washington officials hope the precedent will lead to a similar agreement on the even more important problem of a central control for railways in the Western occupation zones.
