WORLD FOOD BOARD
PLANNING PERMANENT INSTITUTION Halifax, Oct. G. A conference will be held in Washington shortly to work out details for the permanent World Food Board, which was approved in principle at the Food and Agricultural Organisation meeting in Copenhagen in September. Nineteen nations will be 'represented at the conference, which is expected to take three months to complete its task. The Director-General of the United Nations Agricultural Organisation, Sir John Boyd Orr, said, on his arrival from Britain, • that there would be another war within seven or eight years unless the nations agreed on world food and health standards.
